Ice Yachts – 60-footer review

Italian shipyard Ice Yachts is a relatively new brand, but one that uses a tried and tested designer and shipyard. Its boats are drawn by Umberto Felci and built at the former CN Yacht 2000, a 30-year-old yard near Milan, responsible for more than 80 large custom or semi-custom yachts.

As they say by themselves: “The watchword is QUALITY, a feature that combine all the ships coming out of the ICE shipyard.
With the new 70 feet, we wanted to create a technologically avant-garde boat, with large comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces, easy to sail and absolutely safe.
A careful design and a meticulous production guarantee performances and safety, key principles for the shipyard.
Like all our boats, the 70 feet is a semi-custom product where the owner has many possibilities for customization and equipment.”

The Ice 60 has a minimalist modern design – think open loft style with lots of natural light, white and beige furnishings and materials – the antithesis of a traditional-style yacht interior. The simplicity of Felci’s design grew on me, especially as it is practical for purpose and the finish quality is very good.
